It’s official. In 2023, Chevy’s mid-size pickup stepped into its third generation. And with an all-new trim expanded in breadth and maturity, the new Chevy Colorado is powered solely by a turbocharged 2.7-liter inline-four and eight-speed automatic transmission. The WT and LT trims utilize an open rear differential, and the Z71 and Trail Boss pickups have a limited-slip unit. Only the all-terrain ZR2 is equipped with power-locking front and rear differentials.

The new Chevy Colorado has drastically improved its interior design. Each Colorado is a four-door crew cab. On the inside, a new center console is available, the gear shifts closer to the cab’s passenger side, and the cupholders are situated in front of the center console rather than being “hidden” to the gear selector’s opposite.
